Because of the vast quantity of open source games and proposed games which never quiet come into fruition this section will be limited only to game which i personally have played, followed and observed the development of. Users and Modders have a lot of tools at their disposal, map's are designed to edited with common tools and the file structure is designed to easily incorporate mods and user tweaks. The website contains a rich a beginner friendly wiki with full and detailed tutorials to help people learn how to modify and manipulate their gaming experience. This project is more than just a game, it's a platform from which many other games can grow.
FlareA graphically rich RPG in the isometric style of classics such as Baldars Gate and Diablo. The project is focused around creating a flexible engine which can be modded and used in creating many other games, however their show piece game which will be the proof of the project looks set to be excellent in it's own right.

Flare have already been involved in a successful kick-starter project to fund portraits for use in the game, as well as the commissioning of artwork via private donations; all work has been released back to the community with a CC licence on opengameart - a donation to flare is more than just a donation to a cool looking rpg, it's a donation to the whole open source gaming community.
The engine has already been modded by one of the key contributors to use the graphic sets from the liberated pixel cup challenge and a mini-game is being created for the coding phase of the competition,
